Fundamentally, internet technologies are communications enabling; they help people communicate more effectively. Communication can take place anytime, anywhere, and at a relatively low cost. So, the need for calendar coordination and time-consuming travel can be drastically reduced. In fact, through these technologies, interactions which might otherwise never take place are now possible.
